Discovering Our Ongoing Endeavors in 2024

This is a cherished photo of our Teen Charity Project legacy, featuring (from left to right) Chris Cheng, Annching Zhang, Anthony Wei, and Henry Huang.

Chris is set to graduate from college soon, and Annching will be heading to college next year. As they transition, leadership of our project will pass to Anthony and Henry, who will continue our vital work in fundraising, packing, and delivery for those in need.

We are excited and grateful to announce that Miss Stella Wang will be leading our 2024-2025 Teen Charity initiatives for the Little Sisters of the Poor in DC and the Teen Shelter in VA. Her remarkable dedication to fundraising, collecting donations, coordinating events, and distributing resources is truly inspiring. We look forward to the impactful difference her leadership will make in supporting those in need.

It wasn’t just a meal delivery; it was a profound gesture to reassure these elders that they are valued and remembered, even in the quiet corners of the world.

Cross-State and Global Back-to-School Initiative: Bridging East, West, and Beyond

Amidst the ongoing inflation and challenges of 2024, AYI CAN HELP volunteers remain unwavering in their dedication to supporting those in need. This year, we are packing 200 backpacks for a teen shelter and partnering with Education for Hope, a non-profit organization, to help children in Sierra Leone get ready for school. Our heartfelt efforts extend across MD, VA, WA, and reach beyond borders, proving that together, we can make a difference even in difficult times.

We team with the Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWA), Seattle WA assisting refugees teens in their pursuit of education without worry and help them become independent.
Our Teen Program has witnessed many of its members grow up and extend their charitable efforts to the West Coast, including cities like Seattle, WA. This ongoing legacy highlights the profound impact and inspiration that charitable work can have on young lives.

As we move forward, we encourage everyone to embrace the spirit of giving and make a lasting difference. The torch of kindness and generosity is being passed on, and it’s up to each of us to carry it forward. By supporting and participating in charitable projects, we not only help those in need but also create a ripple effect of positive change that can inspire future generations. Let’s continue this tradition of compassion and ensure that the spirit of giving remains a vibrant and powerful force in our communities.

Bringing Christmas Joy to Families in Need

Dr. Tseng, a fervent volunteer, embraced the heartwarming spirit of Christmas. The touching exchanges during this special delivery resonated deeply, embodying the true essence of the holiday season—marked by giving, compassion, and the profound joy of positively impacting others’ lives.

Through the help from all of our volunteers, the money from cash donations and recycled items donations all contributed to the cause for people in need. It enabled us to not only help the local people but also to help the international orphans and children in need.
The effect of our “little steps”, through sharing and giving, is enormous. We truly do make a difference in the society and hopefully everyone is keeping up with the good work.
If you have ever made a donation to charity groups, you might understand that not every institute is willing to take the time to write thank-you letters or to issue donation receipts to you. Often times they take a while to mail donation receipts to you.
Since we emphasized that we don’t have overhead of any administrative expenses, all our volunteers who are involved in the charity cases are “100% volunteered” – meaning that not one cent goes to as the administration fees. All the gas money comes right out from our own pockets, and our financials are open and transparent in public. Our volunteers, as always, try their best to get the donation receipt(s) as soon as they receive the donations.
We post on the website regularly, keeping our readers updated on where all the donations go. If you have questions, please email to Ayi Can Help at ayicanhelp@gmail.com directly for verification.
